Indiana Hosts First Statewide Farm to School & ECE Symposium

On June 18th and 19th, the Indiana Department of Education and the Indiana Grown for Schools Network hosted the first statewide Farm to School & ECE Symposium in Hendricks County. The symposium brought together a variety of farm to school advocates and stakeholders to connect local food champions, share resources, and amplify the excitement around Farm to School initiatives across the state of Indiana. The first day consisted of culinary training and a dairy farm observational trip. The second day included presentations, panel discussions, a vendor fair, and networking opportunities. The mission of the Indiana Farm to School and ECE Symposium was to share the fundamentals of these programs, connect local school champions throughout the state, and amplify excitement around Farm to School initiatives in Indiana.
