Activating students’ curiosity is foundational to student engagement. Students come to the classroom with their backgrounds, experiences, and interests, and they may not all connect to the material in the same way. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore ways educators can cultivate students’ curiosity. From connecting content to students’ backgrounds to putting in the time to make the material feel exciting, participants will leave with new tools and understandings for increasing their students’ curiosity and engagement.
