Indiana Food Day

What is Indiana Food Day?

The Indiana Department of Education, along with community groups and organizations across the state, promotes Indiana Food Day annually to celebrate local food and healthy eating. Held every year in October to coincide with National Farm to School Month, Indiana Food Day showcases local food items. This offers students a chance to explore the culinary diversity of our state.

  • What is Indiana Food Day?

Indiana Food Day is a promotional event that shines a spotlight on one locally grown or produced food item that makes our state proud! The best part? You get to choose when you hold your own Indiana Food Day celebration and how to showcase this year’s featured food!

    Expanding the Celebration!

Get ready for a year-long celebration of food with our expanded Indiana Food Day activities. It all starts in the spring, when we will be sharing seeds so you can dig into the dirt, plant your seeds, and let the learning begin! All the hard work will pay off in October when we celebrate National Farm to School Month!
