Think beyond the bread when providing whole grains at breakfast. In this training we will present a variety of options for healthy, delicious whole grain breakfast items, including both savory and sweet offerings.

OBJECTIVES

  • Develop culinary skills necessary for school meal preparation.

    • Demonstrate healthier cooking methods that apply the principles of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

    • Apply techniques and ingredients to create versatile breakfast items using whole grains and a variety of flavor profiles.
