Grant Opportunity: FY23 USDA Farm to School RFA
The Indiana Grown for Schools Network is excited to add to the celebration of Farm to School Month by sharing that the USDA FY23 Farm to School Grant requests applications (RFA) have now been released! The RFA includes three tracks: implementation, State Agency, and Turnkey. A wide variety of entities are eligible to compete for funding through this opportunity. Eligible schools, State and local agencies, Indian tribal organizations, small to medium-sized agricultural producers or groups of producers, and non-profit organizations are eligible for Farm to School Grants. Institutions operating the CACFP and SFSP at non-school based sites may also apply for funding.
If you are interested in applying or would like to learn more, the USDA Office of Community Food Systems will be hosting two webinars to address and walk through the application process in early November. Grant applications are due on January 6, 2023. If you have any questions about the process, please send an email at sm.fn.mwfarmtoschool@usda.gov as they are happy to help.
Indiana Grown for Schools Network offers technical assistance, including grant writing, so please do not hesitate to reach out with requests!
